Buyer License Agreement

This Buyer Agreement ("Agreement") governs the purchase, download, licensing, and use of digital designs available on PatternStores ("Platform", "Company", "we", "our", "us").

By purchasing, downloading, licensing, or using any content from PatternStores, you agree to be legally bound by this Agreement.

About PatternStores

PatternStores is an online marketplace that allows independent designers ("Sellers") to upload and license textile designs, seamless repeat patterns, saree designs, kurti/suit designs, dupatta designs, and other digital artwork.

PatternStores acts solely as a marketplace platform and does not claim ownership of Seller-uploaded content unless expressly stated.

License, Not Sale

All digital products purchased through PatternStores are licensed, not sold.

The Buyer receives only the rights expressly granted under the purchased license. All rights not expressly granted remain reserved by the copyright owner.

Buyer Eligibility

By using the Platform, you confirm that:

  • You have legal authority to enter into this Agreement.
  • You will comply with all applicable laws.

Permitted Uses

Subject to the purchased license, Buyers may:

  • Print on fabrics.
  • Manufacture garments.
  • Produce sarees, kurtis, suits, dupattas, home textiles, and related products.
  • Use the design for commercial production.
  • Modify colors, scale, or placement for manufacturing purposes.

Prohibited Uses

The Buyer shall not:

Resell Digital Files

  • Resell digital files.
  • Resell source files.
  • Resell artwork files.
  • Resell downloadable content.

Redistribute Files

  • Share files with third parties.
  • Upload files to another marketplace.
  • Upload files to websites offering downloads.
  • Transfer purchased files to others.

Claim Ownership

  • Claim authorship.
  • Claim copyright ownership.
  • Register copyright over purchased content.
  • Register trademarks based solely on purchased designs.

Unauthorized Commercial Distribution

  • Sell the design as a digital product.
  • Include the design in design bundles.
  • Offer the design as stock artwork.

Copyright Ownership

Unless expressly transferred through a separate written agreement:

  • Copyright remains with the original Seller.
  • The Buyer receives usage rights only.
  • Purchase does not transfer ownership.

Buyer Responsibility

Before using any purchased content, the Buyer is responsible for ensuring that the selected license is suitable for the intended use.

The Buyer assumes all responsibility for how the purchased design is used after download.

Third-Party Copyright Claims

PatternStores operates solely as a marketplace platform.

Although PatternStores may review submissions for quality and compliance purposes, PatternStores does not independently verify the ownership, originality, authenticity, or copyright status of every uploaded design.

In the event that:

  • A Seller uploads copied content;
  • A Seller uploads content without authorization; or
  • A design later becomes the subject of a copyright dispute;

PatternStores shall not be responsible for such Seller misconduct.

Any copyright dispute regarding uploaded content shall primarily be between the Seller and the claiming party.

PatternStores reserves the right to remove disputed content, suspend accounts, and cooperate with lawful investigations.

No Warranty of Non-Infringement

The Buyer acknowledges that PatternStores cannot guarantee that every Seller-uploaded design is free from third-party claims.

Accordingly:

  • PatternStores makes no warranty regarding ownership of Seller-uploaded content.
  • PatternStores makes no guarantee against future copyright claims.
  • PatternStores shall not be liable for damages resulting from Seller misrepresentation.

Payments

All purchases are processed through authorized payment gateways.

PatternStores reserves the right to:

  • Cancel suspicious transactions.
  • Refuse service.
  • Verify user identities.
  • Restrict access where necessary.

Refund Policy

Due to the digital nature of the products, all sales are final.

No refunds, returns, exchanges, or cancellations shall be provided after successful download or delivery.

Exceptions may be considered only in cases of:

  • Duplicate payments.
  • Technical download failures.
  • Payment processing errors.

Download Access

PatternStores may impose:

  • Download limits.
  • Time restrictions.
  • Security measures.
  • Watermarking systems.

Unauthorized attempts to bypass security systems are strictly prohibited.

Intellectual Property Protection

PatternStores actively supports copyright protection.

Any person claiming ownership of content may submit a copyright complaint for review.

PatternStores reserves the right to:

  • Remove content.
  • Disable downloads.
  • Suspend accounts.
  • Conduct investigations.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PatternStores, its owners, directors, employees, affiliates, and representatives shall not be liable for:

  • Copyright disputes.
  • Seller misconduct.
  • Loss of profits.
  • Business interruption.
  • Production losses.
  • Indirect damages.
  • Consequential damages.

The total liability of PatternStores shall not exceed the amount paid by the Buyer for the specific purchase giving rise to the claim.

Indemnification

The Buyer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless PatternStores against claims arising from:

  • Misuse of purchased content.
  • Violation of this Agreement.
  • Unauthorized distribution.
  • Illegal use of purchased designs.
  • Breach of intellectual property rights.

Account Suspension

PatternStores may suspend or terminate Buyer accounts for:

  • Unauthorized file sharing.
  • Copyright violations.
  • Fraudulent activity.
  • Abuse of the Platform.
  • Violation of Platform policies.

Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of India.

Any dispute arising under this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.

Acceptance

By purchasing, downloading, licensing, or using content from PatternStores, the Buyer acknowledges that:

  • They have read this Agreement.
  • They understand this Agreement.
  • They agree to be legally bound by its terms.
